29 children from Year 4 spent three days at Saffron Walden Youth Hostel. We explored Saffron Walden church, the museum and walked to Audley End House. At Hatfield forest we learned how to track deer, heard a nightingale sing, discovered a rare orchid and even caught a pike when pond dipping! At Mountfitchet we discovered what life was like in a fortified Norman village - some tried out the stocks others the privy!
